Sustainability

All NOXPIRIA jewelry is crafted from .925 sterling silver. Upon request we also offer 14K–18K white and yellow gold options, as well as gold and platinum platings on all of our pieces. To reduce environmental impact, cast pieces are crafted from recycled metal, all studio scrap metals are recycled and we choose metal findings suppliers who maintain their own partnerships with internationally certified refineries.

Our designs often feature freshwater pearls, lab-grown gemstones, and our signature material: New Zealand Pāua (Haliotis iris), a unique type of Abalone Seashell. These shells are sourced through Luméa, a world leader in sustainable shell materials. As a natural by-product of ethical harvesting, our Pāua is regulated by the New Zealand Quota Management System (QMS). Every batch we receive to work with is accompanied by a Certificate of Origin and meets strict biosecurity and CITES standards, ensuring full traceability and adherence to the highest environmental protections. This commitment makes it one of the most sustainable and responsible shell sources in the world.

Since 2019, we have also proudly partnered with The Better Packaging Co. to ensure your jewelry arrives in the most eco-responsible way possible. All shipping parcels are recyclable, made from 100% recycled Ocean Bound Plastic pollution, and wherever bubble or paper wrapping is needed, it is reused and reusable; we encourage you to reuse it yourself and keep the cycle going.

Last but not least, our manufacturing process is slow enough to ensure our material resources are optimized and the well-being of our workforce is preserved. We design, test and work with mindful patience, playful curiosity and loving intention.

All NOXPIRIA jewelry is designed and handcrafted from start to finish in our collective studio, TULPA. Currently based in Athens, Greece.
