Description
Mokuna is a solid .925 silver ring, featuring an oval hand sawn Abalone shell piece (pāua).
In Hawaiian folk tales, Mokuna is presented as the evil mo'o, a water spirit, competitor of the sea goddess called Hina. Enjoy this power captured in a bold design resembling oval lakes and rocks, with magnificent sea colors.
Mo'o's are believed to have developed from gecko lizards to human women and then to sea goddesses. They can live in both salt and fresh waters, found in hawaiian lagoons, ponds, rivers, and mostly in the ocean. There is a Hawaiian expression that inside each woman lives a little Mo'o. ★
Care
Quick tips to keep your treasures shining:
✶ Wear often, silver loves the skin's natural oils.
✶ Remove before exercising, cleaning, bathing, swimming, or hot springs.
✶ Keep in your soft pouch or a closed box to minimize oxidation.
✶ Never use chemical silver baths for pieces with seashells. Clean with warm water + mild soap only.
